wanted to let you know that their is zero chance of getting wood much below 15% moisture content.  i own a lumber company and all the wood we buy, meaning spruce and yellow pine are kilm dried to 18% moisture content.  but i will also tell you that depending on where you live the wood will absorb moisture to your climate or the time of year it is. about those new wood burners,  yes the wood must be seasoned, (notice i didnt say dry) or it will clog, also, as in my case you cant use any flat material meaning 1by or 2by , i get scrap oak from a friend in manufacturing, because it has a very high chance of covering the port at the bottom and smothering the fire.  if everyone could do what they require of the new stoves, hell, no one would complain about the ones we have. just my 2 cents
