Title: Dampener solenoid making a buzzing sound
Post by: George Scofield on January 11, 2015, 07:03:15 PM
Hey guys, I just hooked up my 6048 for the first time and turned the power on and the dampener opened up and it makes a buzzing sound. Not sure if this is normal as I just bought it used from my neighbor and I'm still green to the owb. Any help is appreciated.

They all vibrate or buzz every once in a while.  Take the front cover on the door off and spray a little WD40 on the pivot points of the solenoid and damper door.  This will help in most cases .  My 5036 does this every once in a while.  No big deal other than being annoying to listen to.

Its not normal ! Your not making  a good connection on the solenoid ,spray the wd 40 where it makes the connection and that will take care of the noise
