Title: 10 plate water to water heat exchanger
Post by: oldchenowth on November 26, 2012, 09:10:57 AM
I just replaced my 10 plate with a 30 plate, hence I do not need my 10 plate anymore.  I have no clue what it is worth. I just know what I paid for it. 1" ports on all 4.  No leaks worked great, just wanted more capacity to increase my water pressure.  I apparently have other issues than the HX.  Time to replace old farm house plumbing next.  Yippee kiyay ........     Make a fair offer and pay actual shipping and this fine example of modern technology can be yours.  Would make a great Christmas gift.

Thanks,
Rich

How about a trade for a small air HX?  I want to try the dryer thing.  Or trade for some other interesting gadget.  If I can't sell it, maybe I'll make a trophy out of it and hold a photo contest of most interesting Rube Goldberg plumbing setup or something.

I might have interest.  I'd like to set up my DHW.  But I've not researched plate exchangers much.  CB generally pushes side-arm HXs for DHW.  Seems to be more common anyway.  I wouldn't know a fair offer.  Do you mind my asking what you paid? and go from there?

Hello dwneast.
I have both sidearm and a plate exchanger.  If your going to do it the plate exchanger is the way to go.  I wish I never plumbed in the side arm.  I added a plate exchanger because I was running out of hot water now Im not with the plate hx  Just my 2cents.  Hope this helps.       Jack

My boiler pump runs 24/7 supplying the home.  But how would the water circulate between the HX and the water tank using a plate HX?  Would I need a circulator pump?  I'm sure that would help recovery.

Is $100 a fair offer?
