I wouldn't be surprised to see over 25 years if you always monitor the water quality and due your part on keeping the set point on the stove high enough.  Also cleaning out the ash in the summer and keeping it dry inside. 

I wouldn't run my stove any cooler than 170.

Hey, everyone asks questions.   It's just harder and harder to find good answers.  Forums can be good, but you have so many rodeo internet cowboys on these forums it's hard to find reliable information. 

One thing I notice is so many of the folks giving out info are folks who took a day off work to watch someone install there furnace and now they simply know how it's done. 

Quite honestly, this place makes my head hurt lol

Don't keep putting it off buy the stove. I waited for 2 years and have since made the purchase and love every minute of it. The money I could have saved would over the 2 years I could have purchased 10 acers of woods beside of me. Scott is right take care of it and it will last. On my 2nd season and love it!!!

I finally got the real story on his situation but don't want an argument....

We will never satisfy EVERY customer out there Scott and those that bash a product like that will more than likely never be satisfied by anyone, if he has a ligitimate complaint it should first be adressed by the dealer and then if he gets no satisfaction go to the factory with the complaint, if he then still gets no results then by all means post THE WHOLE STORY so as somebody else does not make the same mistake. Coming on here and just bashing a product without backing up his opinion with fact gets no respect from me. By the way I spoke with Dave yesterday, he says the problem he had was a loosened bolt on the linkage, all better now
