Is it possible to connect 1/2 uponor pex to another brand?
If so what's the best connector to use?

Yes, it is. If the other brand is PEX A you can use expansion fittings. Otherwise if it is PEX B or PEX C you can use crimp fittings or sharkbite.
You could probably use the expansion fittings on the B or C also but they are not approved for it. I have seen it done without a problem though.
