Im not going to do it . But they have a new weldment you change out ( top part of stove ) and save about 25 % wood usage . has more water and tube is the flu . Just a heads up. and I wonder what kinds of deals there giving to guys with 1 year old 400dcss.

Is that front air shoot that makes air shoot up higher ?

How much was it ? Is the idea to push gases back in to fire ? Im just getting mine ready for season here. :thumbup:

Yeap it pushes gasses up and to the back of the chamber (away from the flue exit). First fore up was lastnight for a test run. I just replaced all my interior pex with copper...so I wanted to make sure I didn't have any leaks.
Seems to be working good so far, I think it only cost like $140 delivered

Ok I will order one anything to save wood and heat going up chimney . :thumbup: Im still working on mine I still need to install air exchange's in the one house . It was going to be a summer project now its turned in to a later project for this winter . Summer went so fast . Im helping my brother install one also . hes going to heat a 1520 sqft shop with a heatmor 200 css yes just the shop . I said shop at 75f going happen pretty easy . Hes new to wood boilers and hes going to be amazed . I was heating 6600 sqft with 200css . 1520sqft will be like loading it once every 2-3 days . Why did you replace everything with copper ?

I hate pex and my pipes come in the garage where my indoor has boiler is located. Everything else is copper so I wanted it to be uniform. The pex sags and looks like crap when it's hot. The finished product looks good...went with all 1 inch copper

I understand that I make sure to hide all my pex piping .. closets and washroom :) I have lot of copper in one house .. Its just
way Has to be in other house and shop . It works just not pretty even the ridged pex sages over time . and its got mind of its own at 180f .. :thumbup:

That is awesome .. In the video did you have the new shoot on the front draft it looked like it ..
I think the insulation on back is a great idea . Do you still have the choke out of the front draft ?
I have the exact setup extension and cap . I did a temp check on cap tonight it was running at 650f
with draft fans on . Heatmors are awesome .. I have been spoiled having one for going on 20 years
now . Its like this you figure them out and get them setup way you like it you will have to have one the
rest of your life LOL :thumbup:

Hah yeah shoot was in that video...I've been doing tests with it on and off....have to wait until it gets colder and the boiler fire more to get accurate results. It seems to take longer to recovery when it is at idle for long periods, mostly because the front air shoot blows air up and not straight onto the coals....still works...just takes longer to get going. But, with the front shoot on, the dancing blue flames are crazy. It seems to gasify a bit more. I think once it gets into colder Temps and the boiler runs more it will work better. Check out that aquastat I added on! I'm loving it! Much more control with the digital!

I know I seen front shoot at Minnesota state fair it was on a 350x and I ask bunch questions and he said now this heatmor dealer guy . That it really what it is to keep heat and gases in fire box longer that's what made it more efficient. slowing down the super heat getting throw the chimney so fast making more heat transfer to water .. But I asked but if that's true start up will be harder because heat in chimney is what makes it start drawing . I was guessing at the time .. But yes Maybe when colder that will all work out as stove acts a lot different at below 10f ... I called dealer waiting on call back to place a order for one . I been just putting small fire in here . Wednesday night its going to be 7f I get so behind this time year .. I'm installing a new PTO pump on my oliver 880 as it has some hydrulic pump issues .. and yes I had to order a Loader valve with float there not cheap $200 2 spool .. But I guess 1961 Oliver you can expect couple issues now and then . :thumbup:

That cap on chimney really slows boilers down . I can have door open with fan on without getting flames shutting out . But cycle times are slower also. I will have to take it off now that there's snow on the ground . 👍 :thumbup:

I did tests last winter with and without chimney cap. I didn't see a difference, just leaving mine on for now. Doing more tests with the front air shoot back on now. Also messing with set pointo and differential settings to find optimal settings for my set up. I'm at 177-185 right now. 15°F today and.snow

I still have mine set at 165f here . Everything is holding temp
My house with baseboards I just heat to 65f for this year.
But if I wanted warmer in the house I have to bump boiler higher
Might happen if we get a polar vortex snap.

Polar vortex starting tonight. Down to negative Temps for the next 5 days. Loaded the boiler with oak and hedge. Jist went to check on her and the dancing blue fames were crazy. It's loving the 175-185 set points. Getting good burn times and a clean clean firebox

You know I took cap off chimney because i was having warmer weather and wet wood issues and did make a big difference . not much but its drawing better .. Im in middle of 6 acers of oak trees . chimney does not get any direct wind this could be effecting the draw on chimney with spark cap on .. I filled it tonight and it burned my wetter wood no problem .. other night I couldnt get a hot fire going . barometer might of been screwing with me also ... :bash:
