Couple Questions for New Install
« on: May 13, 2013, 08:47:50 PM »

I got me an Earth Wood Mountain Man furnace and have a few questions on the installation.

1: I read that the Hx in my central unit needs to be installed prior to my back-up heat strips. That will be a difficult thing in deed. Can I mount it say 12-16" beyond the strips or will the strips harm the Hx?

2: Will I have to increase the blower speed? and if so how?

Thanks,
Brian

You can I stall above them, never seen it be a problem.

No need to increase fan speed normally

You can also install it in the return line if it is easier

Yea but you also have to make a space for a new filter on the return side, can't forget that.

I've got room and access just above the strips and I'm planning on slipping it in there.

Thanks for all the replys.
