Wasser Pump anyone
« on: September 27, 2014, 07:56:48 PM »

Had a Wasser Gpd25-10sf on my old boiler that sprang a leak..Pump ran with reduced water for a day.  I think it was ruined in the process as I have plugged it in briefly (few seconds) will not start on speed 1 or speed 2...on speed 3 which is high it will run for about 5 seconds then it sounds like it locks up..So to make a long story short I think I need a new pump...Should i buy the same Wasser pump locally which I believe I paid 260 or buy something better like a Grundfos 26-99 three speed.
thanks for the help

I would say replace with what you can get locally, as long as the pump curves are somewhat close.

...I do agree with slimjim, cause around here its Red vs. Green (Grundfos vs. Taco) for the most part.

I have a Taco and have never had problems with them but I'd listen to Slim due to his experiance.
