2 years ago I paid 12.50 for logstor here in Ontario but the dealer said a price increase was coming and now with the low Canadian dollar it may be a lot more

I paid $13.25 in the fall of ’14.

It isn't made in USA though so that shouldn't affect your price. You need to compare the exchange rate to euros (or DKK) since  Logstor is made in europe. Going by that, your price should have stayed about the same and ours should have gone down.

The US dollar is the world currency. As I understand it, everything is converted to US dollars from the currency it comes from, then converted to the currency of the country it goes to.
( ex.  EUR to US to Cdn. or Cdn to US to Peso)
