i have a system  that is 24 ft higher than my boiler and 275 ft away to eliminate any of the same problems your worried about i used a pressurized system and one non press pump just for the stove loop and two press pumps for the house and shop my wasser pumps have check valves built in make sure your pump can handle the head at the gpm you need, put a air scoop and  an auto vent, this was more expensive but i have not had any problems, the press of the water being up higher than the boiler will induce a load of  about 1/2 a psi for every foot higher than the boiler is so if your 15 foot you will have aprox 7psi of load(on the water tank of the boiler which could actualy cause failure of the system ,split the tank once its heated up )  from the head of water

im still burning although temps have been in 70-80 for almost 2 weeks ,i know its going to get cold again and have used 0 gas this year and want to keep it that way the gas co came to make sure my meter had not been tampered with ,weve been heating all our hot water and i had to turn the valves off to the furnace coil because weve used a/c last 2 days, but its easier to keep the boiler runing, im burning about 20 lbs of coal a day and havent servicedthe hopper for 15 days she just sits down there and idles plan on shutting down may 1  for the season

im going to shut it down may 1 ,if i had a pool i would keep it going another month on each end of season but the stove is extremely reliable no ups and downs on fire whether its burning good or not , thats  the reliabilty of stoker coal
when it comes on it always burns the same it accelerates to full burn within 5 sec ,no need to have hot water storage because the coal has such a quick recovery time,my boiler is 108 gallons, my water temp recovers at 2 degrees per min, if you need more heat its like a turbine eng just turn the fuel up,but you have to buy coal same type coal your powerplant uses it is also rated for pellets, biomass and ul liisted same technology the schools were heated with for 50 years just modernised

100.00 per ton delivered and augered in your shed, about 10 to 12 tons per year heating 3100 sq ft not counting basement, all hot water and 2000 sq ft shop,
i burned wood for 30 years and i just did not have time to cut it ,handle it and service a stove everyday so i buy coal and service
the stove in cold weather about once every 4-7 days, i put some pics of my unit on the pics site

12
i burn coal in central ky, 11 tons of east ky stoker coal 13,900 btu per pound, toaly smoke free, just serviced the stove today, i went 10 days on this last hopper full
which is 700 lbs without emptying ash or servicing stove my fire has not been out since nov 09

i saw them at the national farm show they are a good looking and well built boiler
they are also pretty pricey and firetube boilers have been around for 100 years but you have to clean the tubes out with a brush
on a rod

get the mess away from your house and you will be happier a little bit extra on underground pipe is all its going to cost you and you will save that in isurance, house paint and stack material, not counting your wife cutting you off and making life hell

15
go to this link it has pump comaprison graph with a head chart and gpm at each speed  do your self a favor and at least put the 11.00 honeywell auto vent in your system air lock causes steam in a pump and heat which deteriates the pump
