I finally had a chance to go for a motorcycle ride today now that it's running, went maybe 50 miles. Man, did that ever feel good and the operators of the cars, trucks, etc... were all very respectful of me riding today, giving me space. Roger

I went on a couple short spins 2 weeks ago, sure was refreshing. Then it was 30 degrees again for awhile and hasn't rained yet to wash the salt off the roads so I'm hoping that happens soon. Was really trying to rack some miles up to get my free 500 mile service from the dealer but as of yesterday, my 1 year offer has expired and I'm only at ~340 miles. Damn busy as the work forecast is this summer, may not hit my 500 mark until next year lol

I hear ya! The weather has been very screwy this year. We had upper 70's in February and everyone thought that spring was here already only to have the temps drop and more snow cover the ground. I'm firm believer that mother nature is either on drugs or she's drunk or both. I had a few days last week where I could have taken her for a ride but I couldn't get her started. It looks like I'll have a couple of days this week to take her to work. Roger

I've put about 4000 miles on since January 1. As long as there isn't ice on the road, I ride as much as possible.

The cold by itself isn't so much of an issue to keep me from riding, it's the sand buildup and all the salt they lay down. Sand will put you on your backside rather quick and the salt will eat anything metal. I always wait for a few good spring rains to get the roads washed off of the sand and salt. Roger

They salt and sand here, too.
