I have been burning a lot of cardboard, I dont use ashtrol, and I am having trouble with the door sticking shut. I have to use two arms and really pull sometimes. what's my problem and solution?

I am very curious on this cardboard thing. I work at a box plant and can get an unlimited supply, but had never thought of using it as a fuel source. I would think it would go up too fast, leave a huge mess and be an unpredictable heat output. How much board do you use? Do you use all cardboard or just chuck some in?
