Electronics / Thermostat help please/furnace
« on: March 05, 2014, 03:28:45 AM »
My OWB runs to my forced air furnace   It's been fine the last four years  now just before the OWB thermostat gets almost to temp it shuts off which it's still calling for heat so it turns on for 15 seconds and I hear the thermostat click now it's up to the desired temp now the furnace shuts off and stays off until the next call for heat like its suppose to like its short cycling           I changed the thermostat and thought it was good now it's doing it again with the new one. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks   Jack

I don't know how many people watched the news today but Coal City IL. Got hit by tornado today and Washington il  leveled many houses.  That is no more than 2 miles straight west of my house to dang close thats for sure for my liking.     My 20 ft stack and stove and house     i watched my stack/bracing hold up for  wind speeds   50-60 mph winds they said at my house not sure on the tornado wind speed. I watched the tornado go by with my two little girls scared to death in my arms and wife looking out my  crawl space vent you really dont know what to say to give them comfort besides we are going  to be okay dont worry we are safe.       In one minute your life. Can be flipped over so close to holidays too :-[ and winter to be digging new foundations if needed.              I hope I never see one again that close

Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers

Thanks  Jack

Electronics / Thermostat
« on: November 18, 2012, 06:13:54 AM »
Hello everyone

Low voltage is not my strong subject                   I want to add some pex under  the floor    I originally ordered a pump when I bought my owb it's a taco 007-ZF5-9. The other day I bought from menards on sale a thermostat TH 114-AF-024T. Aube brand  it says its 24 V -0.5A.  For electric or hydronic heating

I bought it because it was on sale and had a floor sensor included.      My question is am I headed in the right direction with what I bought so far        Do I need anything else as far as relay or transformer for low voltage.      Thanks for everybody's help.        Jack

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Down Draft Furnace
« on: March 15, 2012, 08:15:17 PM »
Does anyone have a force air down draft furnace?

Well I do         My question is     my A coil for my air conditoner is above my Owb coil so when the summer rolls around like it felt today.           My dealer told me that if I dont drain the water in my OWB coil it will freeze and split (in the Ductwork).      Is that true or is that a bunch of sillyness he is telling me.    He said he had to replace one that was leaking and he said it was from his A/C freezing it?????????  I didnt think it got that cold.        Thanks for the replys Jack
