hey guys
 i am looking for plans or info on how to make a heat exchanger for my water heater any help will be greatly appreiated.

A really simple water to water heat exchanger is to run one pipe inside of another.  Run your domestic cold water through the pipe on the inside and your heated water in the opposite direction inside the outer pipe.
