HeatMaster / Re: Damper not shutting?
« on: December 26, 2016, 03:42:09 PM »
Some small nails had worked their way up underneath the damper. Preventing the damper from closing. Holding it open about 3 inches.
Thanks guys. Have a feeling I'm going to be using the shop vac on the ash chute in the future.

HeatMaster / Damper not shutting?
« on: December 26, 2016, 07:39:02 AM »
I suspect my damper is not shutting completely? I've manually messed with it from the back some but there seems to still be a problem. (Smoldering and smoking more than usual. Temps higher than normal when idle. boiled over last night )
Anyone else experience this? It looks simple enough to check by taking the fan motor off but not sure of what I will find or any common fixes?
Thanks for any suggestions.

HeatMaster / Burning Pallets
« on: July 22, 2016, 07:40:43 AM »
I've been burning pallet scraps since June. Seems to be a lot of creosote. Would playing with the temp settings help? I currently have it set at 165 with 15 differential.
Thanks
Thanks

HeatMaster / Big Deal?

The ball float came off of the water level indicator. (inside the stove) Is this a big deal? I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow. Just curious.

Thanks guys. It was more of a powder. Never had cleaned that section since it wasn't easy to get to. All is good.

HeatMaster / Triple bypass question
« on: September 13, 2014, 07:29:07 PM »
Cleaned my triple bypass today. Is it normal to have a lot of ash in the first one. No easy way to do this that I know of. Ended up using shop vac with flexible hose. About a 1/2 inch of real fine ash. Hadn't cleaned the 1st bypass since I put it in operation a year ago.

MF4000E put in operation last fall. Backed off the temp to 162 with a 15 degree differential. Seems to be doing ok now. Thanks for all the input.
