I take care of everything outside, she takes care of everything inside, minus the bills.  It's preferred by both of us.  If I go away, she will throw some logs in the boiler without complaint.  We are both teachers and last year she took the year off for maternity leave and although it was unpaid, it was the best year for everyone involved.  We both wish I made enough for her to stay home until the kids get bigger but unfortunately, that's not a reality for us.  I do plenty of sidework, fall cleanups, mulching, light landscaping projects, snow plowing, and selling firewood so while I'm busy doing that, she makes sure I come home to a house that is clean, comfortable, and well maintained on the inside oh and she makes sure the kids are well cared for as well.  This way, I can come home and basically just worry about playing with them.

I married a country girl, she grew up with livestock and helping her dad farm.  She can back up a trailer about as good as I can  ;)
She has had actual chainsaw safety courses when she worked for a local landscaper (she has a horticulture degree), but I do all of the cutting/splitting and she does a lot of the hauling and stacking, she looks at it as good exercise.  She is very good with the skid loader which our 4 year old loves to ride along!!!
I have been running the owb for three weeks now and she is bugging me to teach her what to do!!!

Both the Mrs. and I grew up in the city,  I had the urge to move to the country and 5 years ago and she agreed.  I cant get her to do any of the wood cutting, spliting or stacking but she will take care of all the flower beds and mow so no complaints here.

That right there is some funny stuff and very true. Most certainly is true in my house, my brothers house and any of the dudes I know!  I feel better now that it's not just isolated to my neck of the woods!!

I have not learned to keep my mouth shut. I still try to agure with my wife. After 10 years you think I would learn I don't know anything. Just keep my mouth shut and go with it.
