Title: thermostat wiring
Post by: sceptre74 on January 04, 2014, 01:17:59 PM
It on my oil furnace. I know that's not what this site is about, but I'm stumped. I have an old 2 wire Honeywell and want to hook up an rth2300b1020 in it's place. There's only two wires coming to the old one and the terminals aren't marked so I have no idea where to put them on the new one. I went to check at the furnace and they aren't labeled there either. Any idea what terminals to hook up to on the new one? Thanks

Use W and RH on the new thermostat. I would try the white wire on the W. If it doesn't work, try reversing them. I think it will work either way though.

Lol. They are. House is 26 years old and they are the originals. It was time for an upgrade.
