Title: Looking for a fair, insured, reputable logger for S. Central Wisconsin
Post by: leguftek on January 17, 2012, 12:52:45 PM
I have a 40 acre parcel that is mature and heavily spotted with Cherry, Oak, Hickory, and other nice hardwoods. I am looking for a mill logger who is paying fair market prices, insured, and has a vouchable reputation of doing a good job and not creating and leaving a mess. I am in Rock County, WI and would like to find a business that folks on here would recommend and substantiate thru personal experience. I want to select cut approximately 200 full size mature hardwoods from the property. Please let me know who you would recommend....please no middle men or local tree trimmers. Thanks

If you can wait to do it you will probably do a lot better. I have heard from a few sources that loggers are getting more selling oak for firewood than lumber right now.
