If you burn pine once a few tree guys know you will be all set I get huge dump truck loads of pine for $20, I have to keep refusing loads, I used 6-7 cords heating 3200 sqft mostly pine

Im surprised they would even charge, though $20 is cheap....They are always looking to get rid of the junk wood..Few yrs back I called tree company's in my area for the same reason..They all put me on a list etc etc..Never a phone call or a delivery....Oh well lol..Good for you though!

My vote also for a ramsplitter. My dad and I went in halves on the 30 ton extreme! http://ramsplitter.com/30%20Ton%20Extreme.htm It has held up very well for the past 4 years splitting at least 12-14 cords a year. makes life easy with the arm that picks up rounds. We have had 50" rounds on the thing! We haven't found a piece of wood it wouldn't pick up!
