Yes what's the highest has anyone extended there chimney? Just curious I plan on extending mine 3' to 6' because I am building a shed to house my mf 5000 and my wood to stay dry

I've seen folks go 15'.   Not a good idea tho, if your stove develops a slight air leak around a seal, well that much chimney will make her spew over because it can draw so much air

I've also seen folks try to use uninsulated chimney and have major creosote issues.

Just use a good standard double wall stainless like comes on it and 3-6' will be fine

i have about 8 feet of 8 inch on my home made model..insulated with 1,200 degree 2 inches thick and covered with aluminum wrap. Have never had an issue with it yet (this will be winter 12)
