Site is painfully sssslllloooowwwwwww
« on: March 17, 2015, 01:15:19 PM »

This is the only site on the internet that loads so slow, that its just not worth my time to frequent anymore. I've tried everything from IE8, Firefox running adblock, and ghostry, opera, etc. Nothing makes it perform rather via laptop, desktop, or my mobile devices.
It took the better part of 20min. to even get this "new topic" screen to open.

I'm running fine everywhere else on the web, @ anywhere from 15mb to 35mb per sec.

I've never noticed this site loading slow, and I believe yours is the first complaint of it.

Have tried via Wifi yet at a different location?

Open a command prompt and type the following without the quotes  "tracert outdoorwoodfurnaceinfo.com"
Once it finishes, take a screen shot and upload it to someone you can share the link from or email it to me.

For anybody else that is interested in trying this and IF you have a Mac, open the Network Utility App and click on trace route.

Easiest way to find the app is to open finder and type in "Network Utility" in the search box

Have all the devices you tried used the same internet connection?

I was hoping something really obvious would stick out on the trace route. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about it can help.

I would look at trying different DNS server and see if that makes a difference. A few years ago I was having similar problems at the office on the Charter Cable internet connection. I eventually found a site where people mentioned a problem with Charter's DNS server so I switched over to Google's and never had a problem again.
Google's DNS is 8.8.8.8
If you can enter it in your router, it should use it for everything that is connected through the router. You can also just enter it on your computer in the network adapter settings but then other devices won't use it.

Not sure why it is like this for me only then... multiple different devices, different connections, changed the DNS stuff like suggested... Just purely bad luck I guess. :o

rerun you're trace route. I noticed you used outdoorwoodfurnace.com instead of outsidewoodfurncaceinfo.com. They have two different IP's or instead of typing the name in just use the address which is: 50.63.38.1

Here you go...
still the same as for slowness for me today... I tried to just type in outdoorfurace.com and it reroutes automatically to centralboiler's page?????
also on my computer, I can't get it to now go here at all without using the index page bookmark. No matter if I type in https://www.outdoorwoodfurnaceinfo.com/ or https://www.outdoorwoodfurnace.com/
