With the way the shaver brings the chimney down into the fire box I bet it burns less than my Hardy H2

I donno bull, that helps, but your firebox is like 1/8 the thickness of a shaver. Your firebox is 16 gauge, shaver 1/2"....  1/16 to 1/2

That's true....  But for what hardy would gain in it's thin firebox it gives it back with it's exhaust design

i have been burning mine for five days and with dry wood it hardly smokes or at least less than i thought it would

 Scott, you also have to consider that although Hardy does have thinner walls it does us 304 ss which transfers heat at a slower rate then 409 ss or mild steel. Not sure which would be more efficient, however I have never been a fan of a furnace that has flames coming out of the stack. Too much heat getting pushed out the top when that is happening.
