After doing some looking around we have 2 options:
1. I can install one that embeds itself into the forum, and uses your existing username and password. This one is not very feature rich and is a little less user friendly.
2. I can install one that would be a stand-alone gallery which has a lot of features and is a little more user friendly. This one would require you to re-register for an account in the gallery.
Thoughts?

I have not posted the link yet, because I think I am going to use another application which will integrate with the forums user database so users don't have to register a second time to use the picture gallery. My hope is to complete this in the next week or so.

I have created the photo gallery that now integrates with the message board.

You do not have to re-register you can use your existing message board username and password.
Let me know if you encounter any problems.

I tried to upload some pics to the gallery. I had to re login again but when I do, it brings me back to the main page of the forum and I can't get to the gallery. Everytime I get to the gallery, I'm not logged in and when I do login, it kicks me back to the main page....? :bash:

I have not messed with the gallery in a long time. No one was using it so I did not spend much time tweaking it. I will look into the login in stuff.

I think it would be nice if we would have our location printed under our names when we post a message,like it is done over on the Arborlist site.That way we would know what part of the world that you[we]are located. Just the state,county,or the town.Someone on the site may be your neighbor and not even know it.

I've also been on forums where the newest, say 20 messages, are right on the front page when you get there. I kinda like that idea too. But the location is an excellent idea. And if you don't want anyone to know then leave it blank in your profile.

Could you add a section for corn boilers? Maybe one for windmills?

This is an idea I just had in response to RW Ohio's suggestion about everybody's location. If you edit your profile (at the top of the main page) there's a place where you can fill out your "signature". That's why some of us have that fine print at the end of our posts that list our truck, chainsaw, etc. If you just put your username and hometown there it will automatically show up on every page. I'm going to edit mine now to say "Jason-Pittsburgh, PA". It's really easy to do and will only take a couple minutes. Good idea, RW! :post:

I think this is a great idea.
You can also click on "profile" at the top of the page and then on "forum profile information" and fill in location there so when prople look at your profile they can see where you are located as well.

Hi everyone .. not a newbie .. been on the site since I started looking at OWB last May .. this and the arborist sites were the best source of info around! Glad to see this one has picked up since it's strickly OWB !
sice it looks like the board is going via forums for each brand .. can I request a forum for "Natures Comfort" brand?

How about adding Heat Source 1 to you list of manufacturers . . . I am hearing good things about them, but then again I almost got hoodwinked into Hawken Energy, until I came here. There is just SOOO much JUNK info out there, it's hard to get to the truth~

Does this forum have anything on the Federal Tax Credit up to $1500 for outdoor wood stoves? It would be nice to see what manufacturers made the 75% efficiency cut to be eligible for the tax credit. To my knowledge, this credit last until the end of 2010...better get our $1500 credit now for the 900 billion we'll have to pay back.

Sounds like a great idea. Know anyone that's good with graphics? Make some samplers and we can vote on the design.

the 20-30 Most frequent questions asked about OWB in general?? This way, newbie folks like me wouldn't have to be asking the same questions prolly everyone has read 20 times over already?
Questions like:
1) I have too much creosote build up, what causes this?
2) My red oak was cut 6 years ago , It's been split and stacked for as many years...isn't it dry?
3) What is the proper way to stack wood ion the firebox for burning?
4) What does short burn cycle mean?
5) Do Ranco thermostats really work?
And the list can go on and on. THESE would just be general questions, NOT for any one p[articular brand, we already have that.

Story of my life. Anyway, yes I have had two kind fellas inform me how to post photos, and one did not work...will try the other later tonight or tomorrow. Sure would be nice though is there was a SURE "fire" way of posting pics.

Did you get your pictures posted? Let me know if you didn't. I know that sometimes this forum software is not very user friendly, but it is free.

Nope, haven't gotten them up yet, but Bull sent me another option, so we're going to give that a whirl this morning. I don't have but three photos. We'll see what happens. If this doesn't work, then I'll have to get out the sketch pad and draw them. LOL!

What about an area for pool and hot tub heating using an OWB?

I like having a section of pools/hot tubs, where do you guys think that would fit best. Up by plumbing and electronics, or at the bottom of the list?
