Title: Who makes heatmaster?

Is Heatmaster a spin off of Global by chance? Both are made in Winkler Manitoba, and the basic version of the Heatmaster seems very similar to my stainless steel Hawken/Global. Just curious.

Heat Master is made by Steel Tech Inc. While Heat Master and Global both are build in the same town and both use a round firebox that is about where the similarities end. Heat Master is a much more advanced furnace with grates and an ashpan. Also things like draft fan location and design, stove pipe, water level gauges, thermostats, high efficiency bypasses, and a number of other things are completely different then Global. I have been a Heat Master dealer for a number of years and know of no connection between the two companies. If there was ever a connection it would have had to have been ended more then 10 years ago I guess.
