Title: thermostat wiring
Post by: Neal on March 06, 2010, 06:29:10 AM
I have a Woodmaster 4400 now in use for 2 years.  Love the savings in propane.  My backup furnace is a propane that I will probably switch over too soon rather than keeping a low fire going over the next  month.

My situation is that I use the furnace fan to circulate my warm air.  I have dual thermostats but something is not quite right in the wiring and I have a problem getting the service tech out.  I have an AC/Heat Pump as well hooked into the main thermostat.

I thought that when the wood furnace goes down the main furnace was supposed to switch on to back me up in case I'm not there.
However that doesn't happen and I have to switch off the wood furnace thermostat and turn the main thermostat furnace on.

Anyone have any ideas on what to look for in the wiring?  I have to wonder whether it has something to do with the Heat pump set up.
