Title: NCB 175 door gasket
Post by: BigAlsc on December 08, 2014, 07:10:16 PM
I have a '08' 175 and was going to replace door gasket with 1" rope but the old seams to be 1 1/4". Has anyone run into this? Do they make/sell 1 1/4" silicone infused rope gasket?

It is 1" that you need.

I tried with the 1" but the door doesn't come close to sealing with the adjustment all the way bottomed out. And the old is noticeably bigger.

Are you sure you got 1"?
Are you just using regular rope or something else? Did you use enough high temp silicone behind it?

Are you sure you didn't order the 1/2"? NCB calls for 1" for your boiler.
Part # RS100

Bought it at a local wood stove supply store. Box that it was cut from said 1" and it measures 1". Old stuff easily measures 1 1/4 across and measures about 4" around

What year is your NCB-175?  I ran into this with some 2008 models.

Unfortunately it's an '08'.
