Slim it was the ACME 235 the same as the shaver ... There is no comparison in quality and operating condition in my eyes.. Also I  call P.M left a message a few weeks ago for dealer info in my area and nobody ever called me back just wanted you to know I was considering P.M also

I've never dealt with them, I think when the new rules come in, a lot of the smaller / cheaper brands will disappear, my fear is that so will their warranties, Sorry that Rory did not get back to you from our office, he has been very busy this year, I tried to call him yesterday and he never called me back so you aren't alone. I think you will be very happy with your Central, the 6048 is a good work horse, did you get the add on blower?

Some guys like them for a quicker / hotter fire and some say it is not necessary, Personal opinion I guess!

I have the blower for the 6048 but never installed it. I need to have it on hand in case DEP stops by. I've only burnt last year and this year and it seems to recover pretty quick without it.

Congrats on the new boiler! Sounds like you have not had much fun getting to this point so hopefully this one will make up for some frustrations. As the season progresses it will be interesting to hear your comparisons between the acme to the cb. Keep smiling and keep us updated!

Ive had the 6048 for about 5-6 years now and see no need for the blower.  Just my opinion...

So you are putting the same amount of wood in the new boiler as you were with the old boiler and doubling your burn times? :o

I got a blower on mine. Drilled 5 1"holes in the bottom and put a switch in line so I can shut it off. its off most of the time. if im late getting home and the temp is down i use the fan to restart or crapy wet wood that is hard to burn. Works great.

Honda racer it seems like I'm using less wood with the central being that the blower was running constantly it would consume it faster so I would say 2/3 of what I was using being that the box is larger but I'm not filling it up only half way and larger pieces thrown in...

Woody that's a great idea good to know if I run into a problem thanks
