Does any one use a metal wood holder that uses cantiliver action to grip the wood? Does it work well?

metal wood holder for OWB = tractor bucket ;D

yeah i have one. I call it a log roller. It has a hook that goes over the top of the log and it grips the log as you roll it backwards towards you. That allows you to cut without getting into the dirt/rock etc. Mine works well

A cant hook? I use one when I cut firewood and never let the saw cut all the way through before rolling the log over. Sometimes I can cut 10-12 loads before touching it with a file

I ordered a wood chuck because I got sick or my wife screaming every time I get close to her with the chain saw, now it is a one man job.

Sorry woodchuck is the site I ordered the lumberjack I have not received it yet, it was 89 no shipping charge most of the others I saw were 65+ and made in Quai Pang so I think 89 for a made in the USA heavy duty looking one might be a good deal

Thanks to all for the replies. The type of holder I was referring to is on the web as "Forest Master Ultimate Saw Horse". There are others.

Got my lumberjack I really like it and used it today no matter what kind you get now that I have one I think a log lift is a must have.
