So I discovered tonight that the 3amp fuse coming from the 24vac xfm in my heat pump blows when I turn on my second t stat for my log burner! Everything work fine for the heat pump t stat I have a 24vac relay isolating the two t stats. Ran fine last year. Anyone have anyideas?

If the second t stat uses the power supply the 3 amp fuses protects then my guess is a bad t stat with what I have to go on from your OP.

Would there be a way to test it to see if it's bad with my volt meter?
-
You can if it has an ohm meter.
Easiest thing would be to disconnect any wires from the back of the second t stat but leave the C and R (power) wires connected, install a new fuse and see what happens, if the fuse blows again, its something in the t stat, replace it.
If the fuse doesn’t blow hook the wires back up, then disconnect them at the other end of the run, if the fuse blows you have a dead short in the wires, if not then what ever they are hooked to is causing the problem.

Thanks I will do it! :post:

I got my wiring issue fixed today. I ended up finding a chewed up spot in the wiring repaired all that and it fixed it right up!
