Accurate pool aquastat
« on: September 29, 2011, 07:05:19 AM »

I bought a White Rodgers Pool-N-Spa Aquastat (35-110 w/well) to control the zone valve for heating my pool.  It has a 2F degree differential which is really huge when considering a large pool.  My propane heater had a 1F degree differential and I think that was much better.  I also would prefer shorter run times on the heating cycle.  With a 2F degree differential it will heat for 4+ hrs I estimate.  Anyone know of any super accurate aquastats?  I would think, especially for a spa, you would want something within a degree.

I would look at at a pool supply store.  There might be a way to change the differential on some newer models.  I agree that the 1 degree differential would be better.    Pool Supplies can be found at a lot of places.  Hopefully there is a store that carries quality and fairly priced supplies in your area.
