Slimjim
« on: March 26, 2014, 08:37:12 PM »

Last night I had the opportunity to hang out with Slimjim for several hours.  If anyone ever gets the chance to meet Slim don't pass it up, you'll never find a person more passionate or devoted to the wood burning industry than him.

He's been there and done that and has a very genuine concern to help anyone he can burn biomass.   We talked about a lot of cool concepts and to say the least he inspired me to be even more devoted and spirited towards what we do and love

Left with a lot of respect for him, he's a true patriot, he's the kinda guy this country needs more of!!!!!!

I met slim for the first time while I was at the logging show in bangor maine about a year ago I gave him a check for the deposit for my 250. I left that show thinking omg what have I done I just lest a check for a thousand bucks with tommy Chong... Then came time for the install after many phone calls I felt much more secure with my decision he has always answered my calls happily and has gone way beyond the call of duty for a dealer for me. He spent three days with my family during that process now even my 14 year old step son asks when is he coming back for a visit lol.

I have received large amounts of help from slimjim and Scott already.... feel like I owe them actually.... going to have to have everyone out to my place when this is all done for brews, burgers, fishing, fireworks, and the Casa De Snood upcoming tradition: the game of how many OWB dealers can you fit into an un-fired BL 34-44 OWB.  :P :P :P

I would also like to say that several OWBinfo.com members keep helping me unselflishly.... and not just dealers (btw... many thanks to all of you dealers that openly acknowledge you are dealers; honesty is an attribute I hold in high regard and this only "makes me" listen to these dealers).

I'll sincerely and appreciatively throw names out there too!  Gheez....where to begin?

Just a great group of people willing to help others here and leaving the drama and ego issues out of the equation.
Very sincere thanks gentlemen!  -Slopster

Sloppy, Great post, thanks for the kind words, Scott I've been busy but Thank You for all the comradely and  awesome conversation, I'm glad that we spent some time talking about the things that we are both very passionate about, you can consider an open invitation to come to my home and spend a bit of time with an old long haired libertarian and his wife  ( she's an awesome cook  ), Yoder I'll be on my way back( I'm hoping ) in about 2 weeks, I'd love to meet you face to face.
