Here in Virginia the last few days our high temps have been well below the average low temps for December. Global warming seems to have taken a vacation the last two winters.
As a furnace dealer I always like winters to be cold early. There is nothing like a few shocking heating bills to sell furnaces.

You must have the same meteorologist there as we have here. They get their shorts in a tizzy about 1/2" last week( go on for hours, live reports and all). And this week can't decide how much or when. I'll trust lookin out the window myself. 1 or 2 above tonight, -10 tomorrow night, high winds and 1- 12".   ??? Anyway, shop is 60(anymore is too hot for me), coffee pot in shop is fired up, Jack is in the box, and plow truck full of gas, plenty of wood. Let er snow!

Yeah they freak out over the silliest stuff. The rain quit, but now everything is turn into ice.Going to be real nice tomorrow.
The national weather service says 5-9" sunday night.I would believe them before the local weather station.
I am not ready for it though. My boiler isn't done yet.my shop isn't heated yet(except for that exspensive salamader)which sucks.
The skidloader has fuel in it so if it does throw us a bunch of snow I am ready to plow.

We have about an 1/4" right now.Been snowing off and on all day.Roads are all slick and icey. The wind is blowing pretty good.If it comes down a little harder we might get that 5" by morning.
Scratch, 22" wow that is a bunch of snow!I admit I would like to have some good snows like that once in a while. We used to get some good ones like that when I was a kid.Just not anymore.
Have fun digging out!

16 inches last night and still snowing!, went plowing from 7 am till 4 to just open up things. Will have to start all over tommorow, at least it is getting colder so the snow will be easier to plow, was wet & heavy today the poor old ford got a real workout!

blowing here now and about 6 inches of wet hard packing snow, calling for another 8 to 10 inches tomorrow. Think i may get a snow day tomorrow. I don't need much of an excuse to stay home now
