Heck ya I believe we should all sue tim over it but I know darn well it's just going to waste everyone's time and money. Tims a real crook Craig was the guy who built the business and was always there to help. As a side note they shouldn't crack past weld were firebox and water jacket meet. All I did was drill hole on bottom of crack to stop it and weld it. I think the biggest thing is when there heating up from dead cold the first light of year and when shutting down. Live and learn I guess with how to spend my hard earned money but the things pretty much paid for about and i d say its a solid machine minus the electric issues and cracking

Its expansion and contraction. All a design flaw they'll probably all do it at some point in time. Let's just say I spoke with someone that use to be afilated with Ridgewood and that's was an issue he thought should be fixed but Tim didn't want to add to fabrication time

My 6000 cracked in both of the bottom radius cuts as well. I'm planning on draining and welding it here once its time to shutdown for season. The one crack all the way down into the water jacket but it somehow is not leaking. I'm going to drill a hole at the bottom of each crack before welding it to prevent any it from cracking again. I just find it odd that this is happening to so many guys who had there's built the summer of 2014. Maybe it was a bad batch of steel. Thank God I weld for a living

Just measured mine tonight. Its 6 x6 also. My recovery times are way faster I'd say 20 minutes to half hr tops with good dry wood. My first year running stove a few months in I started going through solenoids like crazy. I ended up putting a paper clip on bottom of door to keepbit from gluing shut with creosote. I try to keep door lubed up with pb blaster as well. Another issue I was having was their aquastat burning up. The only thing I could come up with that was voltage drop or something voltage related. I ended up running a copper 8 foot ground rod in and ran a heavy wire to frame of boiler and it immediately stop burning up solenoids and aquastats. This year knock on wood I haven't had anymore issues besides the spring pivoting on door and sticking open which overheated stove and cracking the firebox

How long does your drove take to warm up? I have a 2 year old 6000 and I think mine works fine but maybe it actually isnt

Well just my luck there going out of business because Saturday I was out filling stove and found two nice cracks in firebox down by door opening. Pulled tin off below door and the one crack goes all the way down into the water jacket. Have no idea how it isn't leaking. Called Tim and this was before I saw the going out of business on their site. Tim didn't seem to find it an issue and and told me to temperately fix it with fiberglass. I was rather mad since this things only a year and a half old. Its been pretty good this year but last year I went through like 4 or 5 solenoids and its on its third aquastat. I ended up running a ground rod in 8 foot and grounded machine to that and i have not had any more issues with that. But now I have a cracked firebox and I told tim I wanted a new stove once heating seasons done. He just laughed it off and noe he won't even return my phone calls. I did however still have Craig's number and I able to talk to him. He obviously does not own or is even affiliated with Ridgewood and him and tim are not on speaking terms. Long story short Craig said Tims not holding up on the warrenty stuff like he should and now he's try to liquidate a whole lot of inventory. I think he diserves another prison sentence.
