Yea even after its warmed back up here its very gratifying to know that a couple pieces of wood per day are heating my hot water and keeping the house warm at night.

I'm looking forward to some cold weather actually haha.  I'm thinking i'm going to use my ncb175 all year around. For no more wood than it seems to take to provide endless hotwater, Ialmsot feel silly not doing it.  With a family of 4 and my calculations of hot water use, we could be paying as much as $100 per month in heating water alone!

I run mine all year. Takes very little effort to heat for hot water . Still look at it every other day but doesn't need much wood. I use all junk wood. Pine is everywhere.
