I got my wiring issue fixed today. I ended up finding a chewed up spot in the wiring repaired all that and it fixed it right up!

So I discovered tonight that the 3amp fuse coming from the 24vac xfm in my heat pump blows when I turn on my second t stat for my log burner! Everything work fine for the heat pump t stat I have a 24vac relay isolating the two t stats. Ran fine last year. Anyone have anyideas?

So I tested my log burner to night and discovered that when I try to use my log burner t stat I blow the three amp fuse coming from my 24 vac xfm in my heat pump. If I run the heat pump t stat only which is isolated with a second 24vac relay everything runs fine. Anyone ever had this to happen? I know I have a short somewhere but I'm scratching my head right now.

I have had one on the farm for 15 years. My dad bought it new. It ran great with a 20 inch bar. I bought a new one last year and I still grab the old one from time to time.

I have a Hardy H5 OWF I have been getting my firewood from a site that the tree trimmers that trim for my job dumps there debris. There is a ton of wood chips out there as well. I was wondering has anyone every tried to burn them in a normal OWF with a load of wood in the bottom and maybe a grate above the wood that you could take in and out the door?

Farmer blue is spot on for the H4. That is exactly how the domestic hot water is supposed to be installed on the H4. I have a H5 it dosent have the coil in the reservoir. I have a three way valve installed before my heat coil box in my duct work. It sends water to a heat exchanger that is installed before my hot water heater. The water going into my hot water heater is around 160°. I have bypass valves installed so that if I need to I can bypass all of it and still use my hot water heater if I need to.

Where is the second pump located at. I have two pumps as well. One pump is installed on the Hardy. The other pump is installed on a plate heat exchanger located under my house this heats my hot water.

I dont know what slide panel you are refering too. After looking at the picture again I have never had any panel on the front of mine H5. I bought this new two years ago and the dealer delivered it and I installed it. Do you have a picture of one?

I have an H 5 Hardy that I installed my self last year. They are real simple to run. I would first figure out what model you have. There should be a plate in the top left corner with that info on it. Also first thing I would do is check for leakes. If it has frozen up and cracked you can forget about it.

I live in Newberry little agri town off I-26. I have 20 hardy furnaces within 15 minutes of me. My dealer has installed all of them a couple of them have been running for 20 plus years. Thats what sold me on them. Im sure that there are more efficent furnaces out there but i dont think you will find a simpler one out there. Mine has had a fire in it since that video. My dealer is a good guy but I didnt see paying him the extra to do the install when i can do all that stuff myself, thanks to the research i did on this website.
