Just curious Scott, why the increase, are they changing the stoves or just that the economy is doing so much better, we are more than likely going to have to up the price a bit on the other side of the border but stateside will stay where it is as long as the US dollar stays where it is but it seems that more than likely will not hold out unless of course we can find somebody to invade!!!!!

Im not 100% sure to be honest, I think though that it may be an effort to invest in the future stoves by doing lab work and developing there g series.   They are also coming out with a new line of boilers soon, so it's likely that may have played into it.  Heatmaster is shipping stoves at a wife open pace just the same as they were in the fall. 

As far as the msrp, all dealers price at there own levels, prices have went up but individual dealers may vary

Getting furnaces ready for the 2015 standard is going to take a lot of money. Its gotta come from somewhere. Thats not what they are saying but I can put two and two together. Anyone who doesn't think the new epa standards will not drive up cost is kidding themselves.

Perhaps the answer would be to apply to the govt for a job, they seem to be doing very well, nice to have the rush of sales now because of those impending rules but just wait until those rules do come in, sales will then drop like a rock even after the new products are developed.

Yea Slim, at least they can get a little ahead this year I guess. Darn shame, we had a good thing going for both dealers and customers but I think the fat lady is starting to sing.

So here's my question... What will happen to all of the stoves that are left over after 1 Jan if they can't sell them within that 60 day window?  Will they just send them back to Canada or try to sell them at a discounted price to get rid of them?

What kind of increases in OWB sales are you seeing slimjim?  Just ballpark estimates.... my curiosity is peaked.

Nothing right now, at least stateside, the exchange rate is fair right now, new models in development now will go up because of technology and higher labor to build them.

 I don't do retail any more. In the area I work I believe we will be seeing a year similar to 08 where no one could keep furnaces in stock. AirForcePOL, I don't think there will be a problem with furnaces being left over. My guess is that dealers will be sold out long before then. When this gets out to the general public every guy that has been thinking for the last 5 years about buying will jump and do it quickly. I'm worried that there will be a number of dealers who make a quick buck and then go out of business.

Yes, I would agree with you on that whole statement Yoder, most dealers will not ride it out but instead just close the doors after the rules come in just like they did here in the northeast.

Wish I could be one of those sales. Unfortunatly, financing is imposible. So looks like ill be seeing the propane man forever. Funny thing is two years of propane would pay for the furnace, but I can only raise 1 years worth at a time.

There are financing options to you, its not as cheap as paying cash after your fees but it still gets you off the man

Bad credit past. Got turned down from the bank. I got $3k saved up, which is just about how much I spent on propane this year.
