I would like to know if there is a issue with logins for any other member. I have been unable to login under my existing User name and password. I tried requesting a new password using my user name ELVIS1 and email with no avail for about a week. I tried to register under a my other yahoo account but never got sent my confirmation code so I created a tc3 net email and that worked perfect. Any help would be great.

I'm new here and when I was trying to get an account, I could not get one using my gmail or hotmail account. I just never got the verification email. I know that some site ban anyone from using "free" emails so I figure that is what they did here.
I had to dig out my time warner cable email, that I've never used in the 10 years I've had it, used that and wuala I was able to create an account.
Unfortunately, my preferred username (98kx1927) is now tied up with a non existent account that will never go live, but I don't make the rules :)

Try deleting your web history. I know it sounds rediculous but it works for me when I can't log in to sites.

Omg, I just got back on the website/forum. I've been gone for over a month. I changed my email message and could not logon. I tried all of the "avenues" to reactivate my account and have my password sent to me and nothing worked. The bad part of this dilemma is, you cannot contact anyone on the forum for help. You end up on the outside looking in. I scrounged up a couple of user email addresses and sent them a SOS message asking for help. They probably thought I was crazy. Anyway, its a miracle, I'm back. 1ELVIS is correct. I never got a message in ANY of the email addresses I tried. And yes I looked in all of the spam folders and junk folders and never got a message. Never got a reactivation number on the new accounts I tried to set up. If any administrator or moderator reads this, there is a problem. I'm not harping or condemning this site at all, I'm hoping for a fix for this problem. I absolutely love this forum. There isn't anything like it out there.

Same problem here. Currently logged in on my tablet with my saved user name and password. However no success logging into on my account on my phone or PC.

I've checked your account and it is in good standing and active.
Maybe clear your cache on your internet browser and see if it works then.

I am new to the fourm. It took me several days to get registered, I never received activation code at hotmail or two different yahoo emails. After reading this post I changed to a non web email and it went right through......just FYI

That could very well explain why some people have trouble activating their accounts and others have no problems. Personally I hate web based email and use what came on my Mac, I also had no problems registering on this site.

If there is anyone out there that cannot login to OWB and can't get on the site, send me an email at golffanman@att.net
The reason I changed my email address was because I didn't receive any email reply messages on my posts. I'm not touching it again.

Had the same issues, tried setting up a account with three different emails but never got the activation code!
Finally on and a big thanks to Snoopy_Snood for manually activating my account and golffanman for being the middle man between us!!
Really enjoying this site so far and I know I will have many questions with my install.

I had similar issues-I tried to create an account for 3 months. I never got the confirmation email. All folders were checked. I signed up for multiple account names which are now dead. Finally I just tried to login after a few months and for some reason I was able to. I'm using a gmail account.

Like what's been pointed out, for some reason people using web based email, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail have problems with never receiving their confirmation email. I use what came installed on my Mac and never had a problem with confirmation emails.
Maybe spammers make excessive use of web based email and the software for the site ignores them.

I had the same problem, I couldn't even register because I couldn't get the confirmation email. I tried yahoo first with no luck, my iCloud email did the trick (@me.com). The confirmation email came within seconds. It certainly doesn't help the frustration factor when the help tab on the website says "An Error has Occurred!"

I too was locked out for several days. I was trying to login where you first enter the website where it welcomes you. It kept telling me that my username or password was incorrect. Finally clicked on the "login" text word among the choices at the top of the website and voila, I'm back in.
I was starting to give up.......but then thought hell, I'm cando attitude...I can't give up.

Possibly, but unless it happens to one of the moderators, it's real hard if not impossible to diagnose.

I put my email address on this thread and have helped several members get back in. I got help from Sloppy_snood and mlappin. They have been absolutely great working with me and getting these folks back on the forum. Thank you guys!

Same thing happened to me (couldn't get access code E mail), I was really impressed with the members that are "in the know" that were helping out the others with tips and advice, and was looing forward to joining in and getting my new-bee questions answered but after a very frustrating afternoon I almost gave up until I saw where golffanman posted his email. He got back to me very soon after I emailed him, did his magic and presto. So thanks golffanman for all the help and a note to the mods...........maybe there is a way to add a "contact us" option
Not wining or complaining just a suggestion, thanks again golffanman. :thumbup:
