Title: GS pictures

Load with G and GS units came in. I'll post some pictures of the GS 200 tomorrow morning. Nice unit.

To shake the turbulators you slide an extension on, then shake up and down. It pivots and the handle attaches directly to the turbs, no linkage to jam. Very simple.
Note that to remove the fan you loosen the nuts and rotate, then slide out. same for the G series.
Lots of small but nice changes.

I like those pear holes that hold the fan. Looks like an easy removal for cleaning. A company that is certainly moving forward in a competitive market. 👍👍👍

A few more things I like-
The rear door lifts off with nice handles, but still swings.
Fuses are now right beside the cold start switch.
Lower door could be swapped out for one with a sight glass if customer wanted to pay the difference.

I was in Ohio yesterday and met Devon at the meeting.

I love the new fuse location, I’ll have to look a little closer at em, but wouldn’t mind setting mine up, I bet though they fit in a square hole, I may have to build a broach to make em correctly.

Devon thought the sight glass could be added to older G series, I may look into that as well.

It would be easy to swap out the whole door. Or if you cut carefully the new glass could be bolted into any older door. But it's stainless so a hole saw would be slow cutting I bet.

409 is a LOT more machinable than stainless that has more chromium in it. When I did the view port on my G400 I tapped the holes no problem with a standard tap.

I also have carbide hole saws for use in my Bridgeport.

In with the new.

Fired it up a few minutes ago. Running like a good old G series. Will post more after a few days burning. Always runs better after some ash builds up.

I posted a video of a GS 200 on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4puAePPC6zc&t=6s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4puAePPC6zc&t=6s)

For some reason it uploaded with some weird blurry sections. We'll see if youtube cleans things up or I need to upload again. The one on my phone is fine..??

The longer I burn a GS the more I like it.

Very nice informative video on the new model.

From my understanding all the "important" stuff is the same as the G series with less frills on the GS.

Pretty much, same efficiency numbers, same overall design, same limited lifetime warranty, just minus a few convenience features like the EZ clean handle and smokeless loading. Kinda like comparing my Polaris Ranger with the soft cab to one with the hard cab, AC and heat. Both do the same thing, one is just more comfortable to work with.

Personally I like the GS level of features more the longer I run it. Simple without a lot of extras but the things I expect to work day in and day out haven't been compromised.
It has a very easy to use flue shaker system, just inside the swinging rear door.
It compares very well with other downdraft units on the market. If the G series didn't exist we'd think the GS was a top end unit. It's funny how our expectations change based on what we start with.
Longevity and efficiency should be no different than a G.
