Last year my water looked milky. I had some plumbing work to do so I drained the system and reinstalled my water treatment. This year my water is clear.

Wow right2bear I'm on my 2nd year and have no creosote on the door at all. There is creosote in the firebox, but nothing dripping out my door. Last year I burned green wood, this year drier wood. Nothing like you are experiencing. What type of wood are you burning? Mine is a mixture. My high temp is 175°.

Just talked to Craig. The tanks are sandblasted. They have been doing this for two years now. Mine is two years old and no problems. If anyone has a paint sediment problem, please give them a call.

I have the original solenoid and run my stove between 165-175. Never lost a solenoid or had a door stick.

I'm on my second year with my 6000 and do not add water. Did you contact Craig at Ridgewood in Hersey?

Ridgewood ran one all last year. This year they are running two Model 6000 stoves plumbed in tandem.

The aqua-stat instructions are also in the Ridgewood Owners manual on their website. You can look at it, or print it out.

Just like slimjim says..........pull it off of there..........crimp it down.......and put it back on. I've had mine going 2 years now and haven't had that happen. That connector must be loose.

So far I have found no cons with the longer stack. The stove is burning completely different from last year. When the damper door opens, the fire is more intense. I'm not filling the the stove completely right now, my fire is in the center of the stove. I also noticed a more complete burn of the wood. Hope that helps. Forgot to add.....last year my stack was 4ft and was just the cheap sheet metal pipe from Menards. Now it's 8ft and it is the heavy schedule 40 from Ridgewood.

I'm on my second year as well. I upgraded my chimney and now it is 8 ft. Made a big difference in draft. It got us through a horrible winter last year and this year is starting out bad as well. So far my stove is running fine.
