Natures Comfort / Re: Coal grate recommendations?
« on: November 04, 2012, 06:44:22 AM »
Thanks for the suggestion. I got a new parts catalog from Natures Comfort last week and see the coal grate in it. I'll check with them on fit.
I spent time yesterday trying to locate a coal supplier in my area. Looks like I've got a 150 mile round trip to pick it up!

Natures Comfort / Coal grate recommendations?
« on: November 03, 2012, 08:07:15 AM »
Hello,
A newbie here. This is Mike Johnston from Columbus, Indiana. Earlier this year my wife and I bought a house with a Natures Comfort NCB-175. The unit is in great shape - previous owner installed in 2008 and used it every year. We're getting the hang of using it - burning all wood - but would also like to try mixing coal. I've read numerous posts here that describe various peoples experiences. I know I'lll need a grate of some sort in the unit and would appreciate any suggestions on either commercial grates that work well or suggestions on how to make one. A sketch or drawing would be great.
Thanks!
Mike
