Out too check the fire around 5 last night,looked down across the field and there was a four pointer strutting his stuff. Go too the truck to get my 270 loaded a couple shells and the bolt jams.WTF.
Got the shell out,didn't try another, wanted to be shure the gun wasn't messed up. Looked at it today, tried again still jamming. Happened to look at the caliber stamped on the shell 30 06. Um I don't have that caliber, checked a couple more stamped 280 . I just bought that box of shells last week. I am very glad the gun jammed. Now I will need to drive an hour ( one way)where I bought them. Hope tomorrow is better.
