Water Temperature?
« on: December 10, 2014, 01:03:55 AM »

I would like to set my water temperature to 185.  Seems in the program it won't let me go above 180.  Followed the instructions from the manual no luck.  Can anyone help

The instruction manual is a bit confusing,  especially when trying to change the differential setting. I have mine set at 185 so I know it can be done.

Yeah I've got mine at 195. Find the manual for the love aquastat that is on there. The instructions are still a bit confusing but it can be done.

1: Hotter the water the less free oxygen that can be dissolved in it, less oxygen equals less corrosion

2: Hotter the water, the hotter the interior of the stove stays so less creosote and condensation so again less corrosion

Do you see a increase in your heat coming out of your vents in your house

I have 7 cast iron radiators on one loop. When the house calls for heat all 7 radiators get heated at the same time. I was seeing 30-40 degree temp drops at the stove. The stove was set to come on at 170 from the factory. That meant my water temps would get as low as 130-140 before they started to recover. Now my temps never drop below 165. My radiators do get hotter and heat the house faster. The whole system seems to operate better at the hotter temp.
