HeatmasterSS 10,000e
« on: February 27, 2014, 05:47:14 AM »

I have a two year old 10,000e I'm selling so I can get a 20,000.  Transferable warranty ready to roll.  Will be in service until the heating season is over.  That could be July the way this year is going.  Stove is in good shape and has been under roof.  Located by la crosse wi.  $7500

Sluggo,

I am considering the 10000e for next year and was wondering what your heat load is. The 20000e is a huge stove. Since you have heated with it and are considering the next size up, you might be able to speak to its ability to heat in your present configuration. If you could let me know what the climate has been like there and what fuels you have used as well as the load on the stove.

Thanks

Currently with the 10000e I'm heating 4800 sq ft to 72 degrees plus dhw.  I live in western Wisconsin and its been cold as hell since early November.  Negative 25 for lows at night seemed to be pretty common this year.  I burn mostly fresh cut oak and slick hickory.  On occasion I treat Hank (the stove) to some black locust!  Twelve to 16 hour burn times were the norm this cold winter.  Reason for upgrading is that I'm adding a 2800 sq ft. Shed to the heat load and another dhw.  Ceilings are rather high in the house and very high in the new shed.  I struck a deal with Heatmaster and am getting a pretty good deal on the upgrade.  I don't want to start next heating season and realize the 10,000 wont keep up and then have the deal off the table from Heatmaster.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Sluggo
can you estimate how much wood you burned last year? I have just a few more square feet, but not as harsh temps,  was just wondering how it compared to what I fed mine this winter.
 Thanks
