Title: Tornado touch down near the farm
Post by: silver star on November 06, 2017, 05:20:52 PM
Yesterday afternoon the worse storm yet to hit the farm happened, according to my 87 year old neighbor.

Pretty sure it was a tornado- photo was taken of a funnel cloud just before super high winds, rain and hail hit.

Very little damage in my County, but a couple mikes away, across the line, several homes damage or destroyed. Big trees knocked down at the root ball.

No injuries reported, thank goodness.

Only issue at my place was the cover to my wood stack was blown off and the next-in-line wood to burn is soaked. Power was off until this morning. The linemen came in force before nightfall and got to work as good men will.
