Central Boiler / Classic - Creosote causing damper door to stick
« on: December 22, 2017, 07:23:38 AM »
I noticed tar like creosote forming on the center of the damper door and oozing its way to the mating face. A few days later I went out and the temperature read-out was not on, I had blown the fuze. I gave the damper door a yank and it didn't budge. After really pulling on it, it 'peeled' free from the creosote glue holding it down. I had fried my solenoid to. I cleaned the damper door until it was spotless, but now, only a couple weeks later, its got oozing creosote on it again. Is this common a problem?
