It is looking good.
What kind of welder are you using? Only 3 leaks isn't bad. Doesn't take much for water to find it's way through.
If you are interested in a used pump I can get take outs that are usually only a couple years old.

The pumps are from indoor heating systems that have been replaced. When they put in a new system they pull out everything and put all new pumps in it. The age of them varies but a lot of the time they are fairly new.

I would have to check with the guy I get them from. I think he has a couple Groundfos pumps that are equivalent size to a 0011.

i have many reports that grundfos are better pumps but how can i say that when my taco has been going over 10 years?  i have ever only had this one so i can offer no comparisons. those that have used them both may have honest opinions..i am not sure all dealers have honest opinions....many may say the one they make the most money on is the best? ;)

I used a Taco 0011 in my house and it was getting really noisy randomly after a year. It may have been partially caused by a little air or something but I was never able to get it to quiet down. The impeller looked fine when I pulled it out. I used a Grundfos ever since and it was much better. I think 7 years now. They are better looking too ;D
I got a hold of a used B&G PL36 so that is going to replace the current pump this winter.
There are a lot of Tacos out there running and they do work ok.
