hoo  hoo fired her up for a test run last night got her up to 145 water temp then shut it down to check every thing out that was about 700pm at 530this morning the water was still at 95  got some more pic to post i have time i will tonight

Congrads on the build. Been watching progress. You will enjoy your stove I am sure. Sure beats paying oil/utility company.

here is another one , still working out the kinks  as i said the siding is one of the upgrades for this summer , came across some flat iron and round pipe  i can start on the piano hinge for the door lost the paper that came with the aqua state so iam having to guss any ideals it is a honey well strap on

well my stove has been running for 3 days real happy with it still working out the bugs like it seems to take to long to heat the water back up that when it dose kick in it takes it a long time just to heat the water back up can you hook an aquastat up backwards  becouse  it shuts down burn when the water gets to about 160 but the aquastat is set on 85 then wont start back up until water is below 100  thanks bull but couldnt find wiring directions at that site  by the way my aquastst is on the line coming from the bottm of the boiler to the house  might have to move it becouse it is like it is using all the hot water before making more  I do whant to thank every body on here  for support becouse today a coworker made a coment about my junkyard stove  looked  ------------- and    ======= of corse i came back   this is true but i have all my kids and dont live in my daddys basement so he is paying the heating bill. of corse i couldent stop after all the hard work and scrounging   before he could say enythig i stated is it going to be mom or dad that picks you up after work becouse of your  d w i  sorry to rant so long thanks for letting me vent every body have a safe thanks giving gary

Which model aquastat do you have.  Here is a link for the installation manual for a common honeywell aquastat.

Beeman, you should move the aquastat up to the main body of the water.

i am using a honeywell L6006c aquastat i think i will try and move it tonight  .the wiring is a red screw black screw and a wight spade type i had it wired to the black and red but think it is suposed to be the wight and red is this right thanks

i was just reading in lugnut,s post about smoke stack cloging up the qustion i have is my fires are getting hot enough that the flam can bee seen comming out of the smokestack i did extend the stack to about 10feet  is this normal and second has eny body used a spark arester for the top i though about making one eny input
