I cut a 11 1/2 x 12 piece of 1/4 inch steel plate and laid up front on grate to help cut down air hitting front of box

Can you not call the dealer who installed the system? My guess is either there is scale build up in the flat plate or there is air blocking the system somewhere. Or I guess you could have a pump impeller broken. Are the radiators getting good and hot? Do you have any way to check the water temp anywhere in the system other than the furnace?

If the flat plate is stopped up on well water side no heat no hot water period ..stopped up on heater side cant pump or circulate no heat risk pump failure?

With all the cold weather we are having just wanted to say thanks to the people that have helped me along the way. Stove is working awesome. Filling it up 3/4 way and getting an easy 24 hour burn. Here is a little video of what was left after 24 hours and could have lasted an easy 6 more hours.

Hey everybody, thanks for all the helpful replies.  I've loaded it up with a lot more wood, and it seems to be doing better. Will know a little more as it is supposed to warm up a little.

truecountry, my wife has some family down around South Hill.  She's originally from Danville.  One of my college roommates is from Buffalo Junction.  Interestingly enough, it was at his place that I saw my first ever outdoor boiler (mid 90's).  Blew my mind that you could heat your house with this little out building looking thing!

Thanks again!
Your welcome bro everyone here will be more and willing to help ...
My wife was born and rasied in Clarksville so we live on lake..Near Bluestone....Good luck and I know you will save money I have

Scott is right but also must add i throw small stuff in on coals to fill the gaps so bigger stuff has a cushion when loading and have raked coals before i did this ...I hate to just drop wood in or hear it hit fire box ...

Is there a reason why the pump is to run all the time and not have it run when it is needed for hot water plate or Heat exchange ?
The pumps on all OWB brands are designed to run 24 hrs as long as you have a live fire in it...If the pump didnt run..You would over heat the OWB..

I Donno about that....  If your losing that much heat cause your pump is running something is wrong

I've got a lot of folks who won't pay for a bypass and on spring days will simply close valves on stove and turn pump off and not boil over or anything

But in regards to the original question, your system is designed for it to run all the time, what are you thinking?!  I mean are you looking to save elec or what

Worried about heat exchange burning out when fan isn't blowing thur it...
