Grapple load
« on: February 10, 2013, 01:03:05 PM »

Well, my log supplier delivered a grapple load of logs for me.  I paid for 12 cord.  I was wondering what I was going to do on my week off from work the week of Feb 18th.  Now I know.  I'll be spending a bit time of sharpening the chains and mixing up gas for it during the course of this week.  Plus, I need to get more bar and chain oil for it.  This is the perfect weather for running a chainsaw.  I can't wait to get to get started.  Some people go away for their vacation.  I end up working on projects around my house.  I'll get my rest at the end of my vacation when I go back to work  :)   Roger

Come on Roger !!  We need pictures    :pic:

On my computer at work I have pics of the 12 cord I cut, split and stacked last summer.  The temps when I was operating my chainsaw was in the 90's.  With enough gatorade and water I was able to cut all day but at a comfortable pace.  I'm trying to get my wood supply at least 2 to 3 years ahead of myself, that's the reason for the 2 seasons in a row of 12 plus cord logs.  When I get home from work tomorrow evening, if there is enough light I'll try to get a couple of pics of the logs.  I'll even take a couple when I'm bucking it up next week.  Roger
