I am getting ready to install my first wood burner and have a question about the mixing valve. I have a honeywell valve with 1 inch female connections coming out of it, originally i was going to have to reduce it to fit the 3/4 plumbing existing on the tank. Home depot has a 3/4 sharkbite fitting that would fit in and reduce the amount of fittings and cost significantly..my question is would this cause a problem in hot water load or should it be ok to do. we dont use hardly any hot water so not super concerned about recovery. Are you talking about the domestic hot water connections or the 1 inch lines on the wood boiler?

All my existing water lines are 3/4 the mixing valve I have now has 1" female threads on all 3 connections

3/4 inch supply and return on the wood boiler? What is the reason for the mixing valve, domestic water?
How will you be heating the domestic water?

Sorry should explained better. The boiler has 1 inch supply and returns going to the side arm being installed on the dmh. The mixing valve is also for dmh, all my existing plumbing is 3/4 PVC at the water tank and my mixing valve has the 1 inch female threads I would have to reduce down. I will have 1 inch supply and return coming into the sidearm then 3/4 going into the drain valve and pressure relief
